Position Summary: Responsible for preparing bids based on drawings, specifications, labor costs and materials. Understanding bidding processes, creating value engineering options, cost breakouts and plan breakouts are essential functions of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform flooring product take-off in compliance with bid package or RFQ.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with general contractors, property managers, customers, and internal team.
- Experience reading architectural drawings/specifications and generating accurate take-offs.
- Determine material quantities, labor and overhead for bids.
- Knowledge of AIA section and specs pertaining to flooring.
- Professional presence and good communication skills.
- Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
- Follow established processes, evaluate and propose enhancements to processes that improve profitability and customer experience.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong multitasking skills, ability to set priorities, and work in a face-paced environment.
- Product knowledge and technical application as pertains to flooring.
- Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel skills and RFMS Measure.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Process driven.
- Organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
- Hearing, Seeing, Strong communication skills.
- Speaking Fluent English, Speaking Spanish encouraged (not required)
- Lifting, must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Combination of office and customer/construction sites
- Require steel-toed boots.
